Woman robbed at knifepoint by Asian outside Para Vista church

A KNIFE-WIELDING man menaced an elderly woman and stole her handbag in a church car park on Sunday, police revealed today.

The man approached the woman near the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church on Montague Rd in Para Vista about 4.24pm on Sunday before he fled on foot.

The woman’s bag was later found on fire in a vacant block on David Place in Para Vista.

She was not injured.

The man is described as Asian in appearance and aged in his 20s.

He was about 175cm tall with a slim build and was wearing a grey hooded top.
