THE Australian flag is a revered symbol of our nation and as such should be treated with the respect it deserves.

None of us should be ashamed to display proudly our most recognisable national symbol, but those loutish buffoons who drape themselves in the flag as an aggressive declaration of their Australianness do nothing but make fools of themselves and degrade the flag’s true meaning.

PORT Augusta is heading for an “explosion” of violence because local police are failing to control rampaging gangs of youths, former policeman and Aboriginal elder Aaron Stuart has warned.

Western Adelaide: 79-Year-Old Woman Sexually Assaulted by Aboriginal

Western Adelaide Police are searching for a male Aboriginal youth, who twice indecently assaulted a 79-year-old woman. First as she was walking along Victoria Rd in Osborne and again on nearby Marmora Tce.

The suspect is described as being Aboriginal with a dark complexion. The victim believes the offender was aged about 17, is 170cm tall and of stocky build. He had dark, curly hair and “bushy” eyebrows.

The offender wore a purple-maroon tracksuit with the logo G Unit in white across the front and matching pants.

A BUS driver has narrowly escaped injury after a rock or brick was thrown through a window at Ovingham tonight.

The 235 bus to Kilburn was at the intersection of Churchill Rd and Torrens Rd just before 7pm when a woman hurled the rock at the driver’s side window.

The woman was wearing a striped top and had her hair tied back in a ponytail.

She was described as Aboriginal and aged in her 30s.

She was last seen running west on Torrens Rd.

A WOMAN has been stabbed in front of shoppers in what is believed to have been an unprovoked attack in the city centre this afternoon.

A RARE American muscle car has been stolen at gunpoint in Mile End this morning.

Police are now hunting for a man of Aboriginal appearance who stole the black 2008 Dodge Nitro station wagon from its owner on Rose St, Mile End, about 8.45am.

It is understood the offender entered a business at Mile End before confronting the victim at gunpoint and demanding his car keys.

He is of medium build and was wearing all black clothing with a balaclava.

No one was injured in the incident.

Singer, 41, today admitted to punching another man during an argument over the cutting down of a “sacred tree” on the lands in May.
